Description

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the peaches, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well to coat the peaches evenly.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.

Notes

  • You can use frozen or canned peaches if fresh ones are not available. Make sure to drain them well.
