This Philly Cheesesteak Pizza recipe brings together the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak on a crispy pizza crust. Topped with tender steak, melted provolone, and sautéed peppers and onions, this pizza is a delicious fusion of two favorite comfort foods. Perfect for a satisfying dinner or game-day snack.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • Olive oil
  • Thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • Provolone cheese, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Green bell pepper, sliced
  • Onion, sliced
  • Mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • Garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Sauté the sliced steak in a hot pan with a little olive oil until just cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  • In the same pan, sauté the bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  • Brush the dough with olive oil and layer with slices of provolone cheese.
  • Evenly spread the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables over the cheese.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

 

For an extra cheesy version, add more provolone or try a cheese blend with white American cheese.
