Indulge in a slice of our protein banana bread recipe, a moist and delicious treat that not only satisfies your sweet cravings but also fuels your body. With added protein and reduced sugar, this banana bread variant is perfect for fitness enthusiasts and those seeking a healthier twist to the classic.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup mix-ins (like walnuts, dark chocolate chips, or dried fruits)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, eggs, almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together almond flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. If using, fold in your choice of mix-ins.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a chocolatey twist, use chocolate protein powder and add cocoa nibs as mix-ins.
