Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, water, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
