  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra spice)
  • 1 cup coconut milk (optional for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in broth, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, and fish sauce. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, until pink and opaque.
  • Stir in coconut milk (if using), cilantro, and lime juice. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra cilantro and lime wedges.
