Ingredients

  • Crust:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Apple Filling:
    • 3 large apples, peeled and diced
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Streusel Topping:
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1/2 cup oats
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Salted Caramel:
    • 1 cup caramel sauce
    • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • For the crust, mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  • In a bowl, toss the diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread the apples over the baked crust.
  • For the streusel topping, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
  • Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the bars once cooled. Cut into squares and serve.
