Ingredients
- Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- Apple Filling:
- 3 large apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Streusel Topping:
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Salted Caramel:
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- For the crust, mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, toss the diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread the apples over the baked crust.
- For the streusel topping, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the bars once cooled. Cut into squares and serve.
