Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes, cooled
  • 1 can (120g) sardines in oil, drained and flaked
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. n a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes and flaked sardines.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper to the potato mixture. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then roll them in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Fry the balls in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the balls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or a simple yogurt dip.
