This Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake combines succulent shrimp, garlic, butter, and lemon with perfectly cooked pasta, all baked under a cheesy, golden crust. Perfect for a comforting yet elegant meal, this dish is easy to make and bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (penne or linguine)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta al dente according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Add shrimp, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Stir in shrimp and fresh parsley.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
