Description

This Southern Baked Spaghetti Casserole is a comforting, cheesy dish made with layers of spaghetti, seasoned ground beef, and a rich tomato sauce. Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz spaghetti (cooked and drained)
  • 1 can (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the spaghetti sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream.
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked spaghetti, then spread the sour cream mixture over it.
  • Add half of the ground beef and sauce mixture over the spaghetti. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  • Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
