Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1 small onion, finely diced

- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water or beef broth
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onions and garlic to the beef and sauté until onions are softened.
- Stir in cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and water or beef broth. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until flavors combine and beef is fully cooked. Set aside.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Warm the corn tortillas in the microwave or on a dry skillet to make them pliable. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the ground beef mixture onto one side of each tortilla and fold in half.
- Carefully place the filled tortillas in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
