Description

Walking Taco Bake Recipe is a perfect blend of taco flavors baked into a convenient casserole. This dish combines seasoned ground beef, cheese, and your favorite taco toppings layered over a bed of crushed tortilla chips. Perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or casual get-togethers.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag tortilla chips, crushed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water as directed on the seasoning packet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a baking dish, layer the crushed tortilla chips, seasoned beef, black beans, corn, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
  • Spread salsa evenly over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve with sour cream and optional toppings.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
  • For a spicier version, use hot salsa or add a dash of cayenne pepper.
