Walking Taco Bake Recipe is a perfect blend of taco flavors baked into a convenient casserole. This dish combines seasoned ground beef, cheese, and your favorite taco toppings layered over a bed of crushed tortilla chips. Perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or casual get-togethers.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can corn, drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag tortilla chips, crushed
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup sour cream
- Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water as directed on the seasoning packet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer the crushed tortilla chips, seasoned beef, black beans, corn, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
- Spread salsa evenly over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve with sour cream and optional toppings.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
- For a spicier version, use hot salsa or add a dash of cayenne pepper.
