Ingredients
- 14 oz kielbasa, sliced
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add the rice, garlic powder, and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Stir in broccoli florets and kielbasa. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until broccoli is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
