Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in cherry pie filling.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in sugar and milk, bring to a boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth.
- Pour chocolate mixture over the warm cake.
