Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fusilli, or your choice)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season diced chicken with salt, black pepper, and paprika, then cook until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle flour into the skillet and whisk for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring until smooth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it thicken, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in shredded white cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy cheese sauce.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
