Description

Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken Sliders are a delicious and easy recipe made with shredded chicken, tangy peppers, and soft buns. Perfect for gatherings or a quick meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 6-8 pepperoncini peppers
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  • Place chicken breasts in the crock pot. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix evenly over the chicken.
  • Add butter and pepperoncini peppers on top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Shred the cooked chicken in the crock pot using two forks, mixing it with the juices.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lay the bottom halves of slider buns on a baking sheet.
  • Spoon shredded chicken onto each bun and top with cheese slices. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
  • Brush melted butter over the tops of the buns. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and buns are golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy these tangy, juicy sliders!

Notes

  • Add more pepperoncini for extra spice.
  • Swap out provolone cheese for Swiss or cheddar for a different flavor.
