Description
Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken Sliders are a delicious and easy recipe made with shredded chicken, tangy peppers, and soft buns. Perfect for gatherings or a quick meal.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 6-8 pepperoncini peppers
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crock pot. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix evenly over the chicken.
- Add butter and pepperoncini peppers on top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the cooked chicken in the crock pot using two forks, mixing it with the juices.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lay the bottom halves of slider buns on a baking sheet.
- Spoon shredded chicken onto each bun and top with cheese slices. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
- Brush melted butter over the tops of the buns. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and buns are golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy these tangy, juicy sliders!
Notes
- Add more pepperoncini for extra spice.
- Swap out provolone cheese for Swiss or cheddar for a different flavor.
- Serve with a side of coleslaw or chips for a complete meal.
