  • 1 lb strawberries, hulled and sliced in half (frozen strawberries can be used without thawing)
  • Zest and juice from 1/2 small lemon
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in warm water.
  2. Combine the cornstarch mixture, strawberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Cook while stirring until the sauce thickens and the strawberries become soft.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
