Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole is a rich, creamy, and indulgent dish perfect for family dinners. This easy-to-make casserole combines tender ravioli with a luscious cheese and meat sauce, topped with melted mozzarella. With simple ingredients and quick preparation, it's sure to become a favorite comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (25 ounces) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  7. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  8. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli.
  9. Add the remaining ravioli in a single layer.
  10. Top with the remaining meat sauce.
  11. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
  12. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  14. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the ground beef and add sautéed spinach or mushrooms.
  • This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated. Bake it when ready to serve.
