Ingredients
- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until no longer pink.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted and well combined.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Add a few tablespoons of the steak mixture to the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Seal the edges with a bit of water.
- Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the egg rolls in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as spicy ketchup or garlic aioli.
