This Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket Sandwich recipe features tender, flavorful beef brisket slow-cooked to perfection and served on a soft bun with tangy BBQ sauce. It’s an effortless and delicious meal that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef brisket
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 sandwich buns
  • Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Place sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Rub the brisket with smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Place the brisket on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the brisket.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded.
  • Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded brisket to the slow cooker and mix with the juices.
  • Serve the brisket on sandwich buns, topped with extra BBQ sauce and coleslaw if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the BBQ mixture.
