Ingredients

68 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

810 fresh mint leaves

1 tablespoon sugar (or to taste)

1 ounce fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

2 ounces white rum

Club soda or sparkling water, to top off

Ice cubes

Mint sprigs and strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries, mint leaves, and sugar until well mashed and fragrant.

Add the lime juice and white rum. Stir well to combine.

Fill a serving glass with ice.

Pour the muddled mixture over the ice, straining if desired.

Top off with club soda or sparkling water.

Stir gently, garnish with a sprig of mint and a strawberry slice.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust sugar to taste depending on the sweetness of the strawberries.

For a non-alcoholic version, skip the rum and add more soda or lemon-lime soda.

Use crushed ice for a slushier texture.
