Ingredients

  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 4 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, beaten eggs, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  • Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the pecan topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
