Texas Trash Dip is a rich, creamy, and cheesy dip perfect for parties and gatherings. This easy-to-make dip combines refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and plenty of cheese, all baked to perfection. Serve it with tortilla chips for a crowd-pleasing appetizer that's sure to be a hit at any event.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 package (1 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chilies
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning mix. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded Mexican blend cheese evenly over the top.
  • Add diced green chilies, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions on top of the cheese, if using.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra heat, you can add a can of diced jalapeños or use spicy taco seasoning.
  • This dip can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it when ready to serve.
