Texas Trash Dip is a rich, creamy, and cheesy dip perfect for parties and gatherings. Ingredients
- 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 package (1 ounce) taco seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chilies
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning mix. Mix until smooth and well blended.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded Mexican blend cheese evenly over the top.
- Add diced green chilies, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions on top of the cheese, if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For extra heat, you can add a can of diced jalapeños or use spicy taco seasoning.
- This dip can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it when ready to serve.
